O Ancient God! O Mount-Slumbering God! |
O ancient god
O mount-slumbering god
Declaring war on the earthly army
Our spirits!
~ Gradus Vita~
What do you do when you find out your children are demigods with incredible powers?
Sacrifice them to the god of war and seal them away inside of ancient and powerful weapons in a different plane of existence of course.
That was what Ygraine the Wrathful Queen decided when she found her children's fathers were actually gods of ancient myth and not just the handsome men she fell in love with and was brokenhearted over. Wether it was fear, rage, or jealousy that drove her to such a deed, the deed was done. She sealed them inside weapons and locked them in the Plane of Forgetfulness that no man may take those weapons and use them against her.
But centuries have passed now. Ygraine is gone. The legend passed into absolute obscurity, only existing inside one old tome hidden in a chest under the floorboards of an ancient manor. In this tome lies the story and the spell to open the Plane of Forgetfulness, and inside, the secret Ygraine thought she could guard so well.
But someone was curious enough to inspect the creaking floorboards, lift them up, and open the box. And what they found inside, well, that was the start of all these adventures.
To battle against the monsters and things destroying humankind, one most certainly needs an army.

See the fire for the trees
And lose yourself to their servitude
Set the fire to the trees
And be hung from the empty boughs
And lose yourself to their servitude
Set the fire to the trees
And be hung from the empty boughs
The forests are sentient and have reclaimed the world. Human corruptions and technologies have been obliterated. Most of humankind was pushed to areas trees cannot live, such as deserts, mountain tops, and oceans.
This rp specifically takes place with a group of nomadic people who live in underground caverns. If they go to the caves nearer the surface, they could be killed by the roots of the trees. Some plants grow under ground and attack humans as well.
After two hundred years of being oppressed by nature, humans rose up in a rebellion, creating massive war machines that devastated the forests.
The trees began creating life of their own, special people called Ambassadors. They are humans that were raised by trees. They can sometimes hear what the trees say and they serve a specific Tree. There are eight Trees, each one with the power of a different element.
The Ambassadors are only protected by the Tree they serve and other trees of their master Tree's kind. They are sometimes sent to fight each other.
The Ambassadors were created to speak with the humans, but the humans will not hear them. So the Ambassadors mostly fight the humans.

Maebare no Peripeteia
(harbinger of peripeteia)
They are a new kind of parasite that feed on death. The more deaths you die, the stronger the parasite becomes. Its flesh replaces the host's flesh. The host resurrects and they start all over again. Eventually the parasite will consume its host, and when the host is more parasite than human, the human will die. The parasite will die. And then it will spread.
Some say the only way to stop these parasites is to kill the host to the point of no return, to the point where the host can no longer come back.
Still some say the only way to stop the parasites is to cut them out at their roots.
Two people are struggling to survive in this world of literal kill and be killed. One is known as the Harbinger, a strange young boy with missing limbs who has no parasite. And the other is an enigma wrapped in a mystery that joins the Harbinger to exterminate the parasites once and for all.
But along the way, it will be a gory, deadly ride.

Master of the House
There is a dark and evil house deep in the forest. Many say it is haunted. Many say it is cursed. Others chalk it up to superstitious nonsense. But everyone agrees that it is a bad place and should not be trespassed on. Not by anyone.
But you did not listen to those people. You were drawn here, wether by chance or by curiosity. Somewhere deep inside, you longed to know what it was that made the doors creak and shutters rattle and the handprints appear on the misty window panes. And why do you always feel as if something is watching you?
he's a murder demon who was conjured by the first family to guard the house and keep it perfect. But after the first owner died, the demon could never be satisfied with the new families that moved in and took over his perfect house. So he poisoned the previous families of the house and inevitably caused all their horrible deaths. He's entirely insane and sick in the head of course, being a demon of pure evil. He did horrific things to the people and their bodies, and their distressed spirits roam the house at night, along with their reanimated corpses (among other monstrosities and demons and things). There may be a way to stop them, but that's an rp secret. As for the creation of Pandora, the demon had finally driven out the last of the families. But it would not do for the house to be empty. A house is not perfect when it has no master. And since no human could satisfy, the demon made Pandora to represent that, and made the doll animated and what not so that he could "live" in the house. A living doll. But of course, Pandora left the house and wandered away. The demon found him, brought him back, and removed his limbs so he could never run away again. He keeps Pandora in the attic. The attic is perhaps the most eerie place in the house because it's too clean and too comfortable. Like, everything is perfect and neat, but sort of a disturbing child's bedroom in a way, and limbless Pandora just sits in a chair all day and night long, listening to the house being its crazy self every night. But nothing dares go to the attic for fear of what the demon would do.
That's the reasoning behind the demon for all he has done. As to what he will do, well, he's pretty much any typical horror monster with being all evil, creepy, bloodthirsty, sadistic, etc. And of course he is very obsessive of Pandora since he made Pandora and all.
